Guru–Shishya Parampara at Raganjali Academy of Performing Arts
Raganjali Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA), New Delhi, is committed to preserving and promoting the traditional Guru–Shishya Parampara through systematic training in Indian classical music. The Academy provides regular and dedicated training to students in Hindustani Classical Vocal, Santoor, Harmonium, and Tabla under the guidance of experienced Gurus and accomplished musicians. The training emphasizes rigorous practice, technical excellence, theoretical understanding, repertoire development, discipline, and stage performance.
RAPA also provides scholarships and financial assistance to deserving and talented students, helping them continue their artistic education and develop professional careers in the field of Indian classical music. Special attention is given to young learners so that traditional knowledge and artistic values can be transmitted to the next generation.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, RAPA also runs its Guru–Shishya Parampara Repertory Programme, providing advanced training and performance opportunities to selected artists and disciples. The Academy regularly prepares and presents musical productions and thematic performances, involving vocal, Santoor, Harmonium, Tabla, and other traditional instruments.
Through training, scholarships, repertory activities, workshops, and musical productions, RAPA works to preserve the authenticity of Indian classical music and ensure the continuity of the Guru–Shishya tradition for future generations.
